Gacha Boxes Dropping

Can someone fill me in on why this is a bad thing? Those boxes don't do anything without the keys, right?

The first Gacha Box event happened while I was away from the game for three months, so I dunno how this affected the economy. I logged in and used a key on a silver box for fun and only got a 10% polearm, so I figured it was just a more expensive Gachapon. But I take it that there were a lot of good items to be had?

Tons of PaCs, chaos scrolls, along with a few other expensive goodies. Bad for the hard core merchanters, good for the other 95% of MS.

They might not do anything without the keys, but it certainly hints at another event real soon. That, or just a glitch.
