I hardly ever see a bigfoot. You should do the quest where you get the map that way you can pretty much totally avoid any bigfoots.
But if you are losing interest in maplestory then I say just don't play it. No point forcing yourself to play when you don't want to. Just take a break and come back later, maybe this months patch will have something interesting for you.
