Maybe they thought Chaos Lubelisk was too hard and that Papulatus might be easier. From their internal playtesting, however, it sounds like Papulatus is super stressful to fight.
From what I understand that's Infernog, which is actually a big Orbis boat reference, if I read it correctly the fight works with the entire group having a set time to do a specific amount of damage to the boss and if they fail to do so they lose. If they succeed he gets obliterated by a giant laser blast and you win.
