TL;DR

They don't want to change the meta just for the sake of changing the meta

Twisted sword is getting nerfed

They want to change cc with grouping to make grouping/ support harder

They want to reduce party damage buffs to try and change the 3 support 1 dps meta

They want to reduce healing to force player to be more active and less face tanky

Also some additional info:

The latency is a real concern but it is exacerbated by grouping monsters across multiple screens to a single spot.

If Area Damage combined with grouping monsters and latency continues to be an issue we're prepared to take additional steps.

This is the hope. We're prepared to take additional steps to disincentivize grouping 50+ monsters if needed.
