• A gunman killed 50 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, early Sunday, marking the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
  
• The gunman has been identified as Omar Saddiqui Mateen, according to two law enforcement officials. Police say they killed him.
