Originally, it was announced that Blade & Soul would not be censored for Western audiences. However, players later realized that a side quest was altered for the Western releases. Players found out that more quests and even characterizations were changed, making the Western releases vastly different from the Eastern releases. On the forums, discussion of this censorship is forbidden, and players were warned not to contact NCSoft about it.
welcome to old news, it ended up being not nearly as bad as everyone thought it was.
they put different underwear on the character creation screen, and fucked with the dialogue in a few sidequests, probably because a decent bit of the humor would have been lost in translation anyway. Censorship would have been removing the quest entirely, they just changed a few details in non character critical sidequests to fit the target demographic is all.
