A bit unrelated but something off my backlog:
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo: I very much disliked this. There were really strong points to the show, such as Hayama Saori, or Hayama Saori, Kitamura Eri, and Hayama Saori. This really showcased her ability with the switching, but the overarching plot and concept of the show was pineappleing awful. There are seven witches. pineappleing why? Because it moves the plot. There's absolutely no backstory into why this phenomenon exists, or what it has to do with literally anything other than having Yamada shout I NEED TO KISS YOU IT'S FOR A VERY GOOD REASON THAT I CAN'T EXPLAIN NOW SO I WILL PROCEED TO JUSTIFY RAPING YOU, triggered etc. I watched these episodes back to back and some of them had very weird transitions between where it felt like a lot of information was missing. Then the very end was rushed to all hell with even bigger plotholes in terms of powers and how everything works. Suddenly a new main character appears. There's practically no continuity in how his ability functions. It's just random excuses for him to shout and beg girls to kiss him. There was no point in having seven witches when 3, 4, and 5 are basically ignored after their one-offs, 6 doesn't count, and 7 breaks the rules. I can only imagine a lot of pomegranate was skipped, as the last two episodes had a bunch of montage sequences to skip through all that adversity that was building up. I thought it was going to be interesting and then nope. Here's some random cuts and it's all fixed.
Most of all, my throat hurt after watching him scream so much. Jesus.
This season has shaped up really nicely though so far. I've seen 21 series so far, only three or four felt meh, as in bored me and might drop. (Wasn't a fan of Boku no Hero Academia's first ep, second was better. Seisen Cerberus is trashy as pineapple, augh. Disgusting. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is kinda boring for me.)
HaiFuri really impressed me. Hopefully it stays this good.
Re:Zero has had three amazing episodes so far in my opinion. They really get the intensity across. Really hoping this one stays strong going forward.
Hundred is the typical battle clone, basically Infinite Stratos actually. Acceptable.
Kiznaiver is TRIGGER. Could be great. Could crash and burn.
Joker Game seems pretty intense. Can glorious nippon win the war this time? I think the ED really captures a lot of suspense, despite being almost completely still pans. The images chosen really do it justice.
On the moe side, Sansha Sanyou andAutism Anne Happy are hnnnnggggg. Kuma Miko looks like a great comedy too.
