PirateIzzy Wrote:Personally, I'm judging it by 3 things: How the story works regarding Masteria's lore, how the story works on its own merits, and how it works as a blockbuster (gameplay and such).I agree it does not feel like much like a blockbuster. Nothing on the par of Black Heaven and certainly not on the par of Heroes Reborn. Wasn't a fan of Dr. Jang either, kind of rolled my eyes. Especially since we were led to believe Dr. Krakia was here to pineapple pomegranate up. To be fair she did, but not how we thought so. I think the Star Wars prequels are a good comparison. My thoughts on those are kind of the same. Not fantastic and not bad. I enjoyed parts of it but overall it could be better. If this leads into more Masteria updates I'll be okay with that. I guess we'll see.
In terms of Masteria: To me, it's the equivalent of the Star Wars prequels in terms of contradictions, among other things.
On its own merits: Honestly, as its own story, I have this to say: "eh". I didn't like how they made Dr. Jang into a "Waahh nobody loved me so I'm going to let myself get manipulated by this guy who says he needs me" type of character. The story wasn't as interesting as I'd hoped it to be honestly.
As a blockbuster: People said this before, but it doesn't really feel like much of a blockbuster. To me, it feels more like FriendStory in terms of execution rather than Black Heaven. The rewards are good, though.
But that's just me.
