TL;DR: she was literally working as a (very expensive, charlie sheen expensive) escort as a side job.
nintendo's PR girl was prostituting in her free time, no surprise she was dropped for that
I honestly don't even get what the drama is even about in regards to her termination being over moonlighting or not. Her job is PR, they didn't even need to can her for moonlighting. Free speech is fine, unpopular opinions are fine, but if you're in a contract to publicly represent a family friendly company I don't see how you would think it's okay to openly post that kind of stuff on the very same Twitter account you use for official work. I'm honestly surprised she even got the position in the first place and has been like this for years. She's one of the least likely candidates I'd see as being legitimately fit for representing Nintendo in any way, so who the hell hired her in the first place?
If Nintendo feels she isn't representing them properly or interacting with their customers positively, then it means she literally failed at performing her job duties, so even if it wasn't moonlighting that got her I don't find it unfitting for her to get canned just because of her tweets. Like, if Nintendo's corporate structure was so large that the higher ups were unaware that someone like her was on payroll because she got her job from connections and her immediate superiors covered her ass to keep her on payroll; but the drama made enough noise for the higher ups to actually see what she posts and they didn't feel it proper for her position, I don't see an issue. Just because you would have gotten away with it if you didn't draw attention to yourself doesn't mean that you're suddenly a victim just because people make it known that you failed at your job. She wasn't an accountant fired for making dirty tweets on her personal twitter, she was a PR making those tweets on the same account she used for Nintendo stuff. Maybe being a PR for Pornhub is more fitting for her, she should see if they have applications open.
