I think he got so much money out of it -because- he is a high profile person, and damaging the character of someone of high profile means more than damaging the character of a nobody. That and how terribly the defense handled literally everything. It's not impossible for a normal person to get that much out of a case but not very probable unless it's something huge, much bigger than a sex tape.
