It really makes no sense to me that some Religious Conservatives can simultaneously believe that all Americans should be Christian, that there should be no social services or wealth redistribution,

It's not that there should not be social services or wealth redistribution, it's that it should be voluntary rather than compulsory, and not done through a government entity.
