Mexico is not at war with the United States, and its people don't want to destroy the US or harm its citizens in any way. They want to join them.
It's the difference between being allowed to shoot and kill someone to defend your life, vs. being allowed to shoot and kill someone to defend your property. Practically everyone agrees with the first, far fewer agree with the second.
Not only that, israel can have closed borders because israel is pineappleing tiny! They can afford it!
To put this in perspective.

This, is a map of our good friend israel.
Note the scaling on the bottom left.

This, is a map of mexico.
Mexico has a closed southern border. Which is fine, because look at the size of that border, it's not something too huge, building like, 400 miles of wall isn't too bad.
However! The border between mexico and the united states?

Almost two thousand miles!
How are you going to build a two thousand mile wall that's secure. It's not just the cost of materials, it's excavation, transport, housing of workers, all kinds of expensive things people don't really think about! But that's not even the worst part! How are you going to man it? How many billions of dollars are going to be wasted over the years maintaining it?
How much more is that going to cost in the long term than just making the current batch of immigrants citizens.
Trump is literally hitler right now!
I'm talking about the rise to power hitler, not holocaust hitler.
His campaign platform is based around scapegoating a group of people for the problems we face today as a nation, and saying he'll get rid of the problem.
Walls, camps, whatever, let's round up all the illegals and get rid of them! That's his pineappleing stance on immigration reform.
DO I EVEN NEED TO MENTION THE GODDAMN PLEDGE.
