We are not banning players that participated in completing the quest more than it was intended. After looking at the data from this event we determined that while the items are valuable to some players, we felt that there was no harm to the balance or economy of the game.
"Why didn't you say something about this bug sooner?"
Advance messaging is not always possible. I felt that if I made this bug more widely known with an official statement, there would be a lot of people that would rush to use this as many times as possible before it was fixed. Looking back on it, I feel that I should have said something when this particular bug came to light, and I will keep this in mind moving forward. However, I cannot guarantee that there will be messaging prior to a bug fix. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
"Are items being removed?"
No. Due to the nature of the bug in this particular instance, we will not be removing the items. Despite players being able to complete these quests an infinite number of times due to this bug, the overall balance of the game was not significantly impacted.
