I just keep imagining a meeting at the HQ and them discussing "how to kill Reboot and make as much money as we can while we doing it". It's literally insane as a business strategy, and I refuse to believe the company operates like that. It's interesting how one is even able to come up with a business strategy as insane as this one. It's so outrageous I can't follow it without laughing a little bit on the inside.
I am able to criticize Nexon, but this is just too much for me I guess.
Take New Coke for example, they released it and it cost them a ton of money and it ultimately failed, but when they put Coke Classic back out, they made a killing. Whether that was intentional or not is up for debate, I suppose, but it definitely worked. It's not like, exactly the same or anything, but it's still proof that sacrifice does work as a business strategy, and it's not completely off the wall crazy to try and replicate it. It's not actually as insane as you think it is.
