If he is to defeat the LAST Sith, he should also have to scratch off his list to kill the LAST Jedi.

I'm siding with Ben/Kylo believeing it's force users ruling over non force users as a birth right, something that can only be done with the darkside, while the Jedis only want to help, not dominate.
Anakin/Vader brought balance after millenia of conflict. I expect both sides to turn the tides in their favor now that balance was achieved.


Also, of note, the book "Before the Awakening" gives A LOT of backstory info about the characters and the way they are. Recommended.

That had occurred to me as well, but I think it's a very un-SW plot line. The Force user master race makes a lot of sense. Caedus was certainly a subscriber of Totalitarianism.

I'll check out Before the Awakening. I was pretty wary about new nonfilm material after the horrific reviews of Aftermath.

I particularly liked the canonization of the Tierfon Yellow Aces. They were a pre-episode IV Y-wing squadron in EU-Legends, although the new canon seems to make them into X-wings. Rey's helmet could be cool link to Rogue One pilots. Since they seem to be reusing at least a few ideas from Legends, I'll bet good money there's a connection between the Yellow Aces and Rogue squadrons just like in Legends. More info

PS. Why is the new canon so X-wing obsessed? I want A, Y, and B-wings to return!
