I will agree that the Cash Shop is lacking content, but a company wanting their product to be a failure is extremely cynical. If we were talking about a government of some sort I could understand more, but a company is trying to make profit. Lets be honest, Maplestory hasn't seen this much activity in a long time. Hell, I have a guild again and my friends are playing again. Granted we're all in our mid-late twenties now and can't spend 12 hours a day like we have done in the past, but it has revived quite a damn bit. I'm enjoying the content Reboot is offering. Does it have problems? Yes, yes it does. Nothing is perfect but it is a lot better then what it has been. I'm so glad scrolling is gone. That pomegranate made me want to quit multiple times.

No gaming company will ever admit this but hackers/botters will always be a problem and will always exist. If you know a good amount of Computer Science, you know that all programs can be reverse engineered, and vulnerabilities can be found. When it comes to coding video games, unless you're part of the original staff, you are most likely gonna be coding/working on some legacy program/project/game. That means you are going through someone else's work and adding/modifying/deleting things. Different coders, different techniques, different styles. Some may leave more loose ends then others. The biggest MMORPG (World of Warcraft) still has a HUGE botting/hacking problem to this day. And that game is run by Blizzard Entertainment, a company that seems to have more respect then Nexon.
The nice thing about reboot is that the impact hackers/botters have is a much smaller magnitude. You can't hack/bot for mesos to sell because there is no trading and no Free Market. There is no benefits to hacking Reboot accounts/characters because you can't gain any sort of real income due to the previous example. The only thing it truly has an impact on is the rankings. And lets be honest, rankings is bullshit. It's just a penis measuring contest in "who has the most time to waste".
