Concerning the new AP system...

Wouldn't doing this take away from your skill points? since you didn't pass the normal level 8 advancement as a magician. You probably lost from levels 9, 10, 11 skill points and got that 1 from job advance at level 11 which is a total of 9 skill points lost?

Or does this system allow you to go as far as you want and reset before the 2nd advance? If so thats one big broken system. Because then it would mean people can use any skill build to level up during that job then reset out using this system before job advance instead of spending NX on skill point resets. Ex. Rouges (dagger) using lucky seven until level 30 then reset out to getting maxed double stab. This is assuming you get your skill points back too and not just your AP. Maybe im just not getting this, does this work for any job advance or does it only work for beginners?

If you promote late you keep all that you lost. (i.e. if you promote to magician at level 11, you get 10 SP). This has to do with your ability points resetting upon promoting to 1st job, and how any added HP/MP impact your final stats. The SP system remains unchanged from what it used to be before the recent patch.
