Delusional how? The results are obvious, it's impossible to ignore them how well this has gone; it's not something that can ever be completely abandoned, because as soon as people stop the ridiculous practices will start up again. I know it's a lack of trust, but at this point, they've earned that lack of trust, they will always revert back to disingenuity if they aren't quickly and harshly called out on it every time they do it. SJWs are like children, they will constantly test their boundaries and do increasingly more outrageous and idiotic things unless they are given negative stimuli each and every time. For some of them, even this doesn't help, but the people that follow them can usually tell after a while and they will bring themselves down even if they won't listen to logic, I don't think there are many people left that still legitimately care about what Wu or Harper or most of the others "faces" have to say aside from Anita, and even Anita is starting to lose a lot of respect except among the most hardcore SJWs that follow her around the country attending all her seminars like a cult. The journalists in questions are either in that same SJW group or they don't really care/believe what they are saying but still push the narrative for clicks, which makes them just as bad as telemarketers.
Perhaps developers WILL start losing interest in video games and this will eventually cause a collapse of the industry, but there is no way it will not be revived, by better people that are more dedicated to the consumer instead of themselves. We don't need developers that would abandon game creation because of this, they bring nothing to the table and can be replaced by better people later; there will always be interest in games, and at the very least, Japan will always make them. If any "collapse" were to occur in the West, Japan would start porting every single one of their games to fill in the gap and they would quickly become rich as pineapple, until even the devs that left will be forced to admit they made a huge error in judgment. A lot of them would probably try to get back into it, and it would be then that the consumer should force them away for newer, better talent that isn't indoctrinated with this "consumer has no rights" garbage, unless they are genuinely remorseful of the pomegranate they did in the past. I can't see EA or Activision ever being good companies, though.
