Yeah I like doing that on my main, killing all the easy/normal bosses and selling their drops. You also get reward points from doing it, as well as cubes on occasion, plus equips to sell or extract. I've kind of decided here lately that the level 140 equips are actually better to just NPC because they have such a high chance of giving you dumpy rainbow rocks instead of superior crystals. I think on the whole you probably get more mesos out of them that way.
It really isn't too hard to make a lot of money in Maplestory, the only "hard" part is deciding what you want to spend it on, because there's just such a huge variety of things. I mean you could buy Cash Shop equips, you could buy cubes, clean slates and safety scrolls and such to upgrade your equips, you could buy familiar cards to collect, you could buy rare equips to collect, you could buy chairs to collect, you could buy mounts to collect, you could buy 2x coupons, bossing potions, etc, etc, etc.
The prices for all those things aren't usually too high for most of them in general... you just have to decide which ones you want the most. That's why, on the whole, it really doesn't matter if the prices on some things are driven down, because there's always "more things" to buy.
