I don't want to cash in on gold sellers by putting it on the AH, because I'm SURE I would feel terribly dirty afterwards.

You shouldn't let that bother you. The problem with that mentality is in any game, unless you never trade with other players ever, you'll likely run into some amount of illegit gold at some point. Not much to be done about it.

That is, if you'd even want to sell it.
