A very interesting point. In some respect, I can actually see it being a great social equalizer. But it blatantly defies millennia of Darwinian instincts to protect your genetic offspring. I can't really picture the human race voluntarily giving up close ties to it's offspring in any kind of majority.

Indeed but when population starts declining people would be forced to choose between whatever life they got and having babies and we already got people already having their offspring being raised by strangers, plus I doubt ads(or is it educational video?) like the one in futurama about daiting bots will help.
