An interesting set I found, requires no Charm:
Gore Helm S
Gore Mail (Low Rank)
Gore Bracers S
Gore Faulds (Low Rank)
Gore Greaves S
Gives Challenger +2 (Attack Up Large and Critical Eye +3 when monsters are in rage, your glove glowing red signifies this [It's also nice to know when monsters are in rage, not all monsters have a decent signal about it]), Sharpness +1 and Bio Researcher (Improves Dung Bombs, Prevents Fart Effect and Blastblight). It's a pretty decent High Rank set. The only problem is that it also gives Fire Res -30, and has a pretty abysmal Fire Res by default (another -23), though you can gem the -30 down to -20 without a charm (the set only has a single slot total), and with a +5 Fire Res charm you can remove the rest. Fire Res charms are pretty common, so I don't think it's all that hard to get rid of. A 3-slot charm will also do, as you can put in 3 Fire Res +2 gems.
I got sick of wearing Kut-Kus so I made it (I've been using Kut-Ku armor since I started the game, switched to High Rank Kut-Ku armor when I reached it). It's good to note that it doesn't require a gem, because the chest needs that and you make the low rank version.
