As far as I was aware, Frieza's family is an anomaly in his race, and every other member is like Yamcha-tier powerlevel?

That would be hilarious...but wouldn't it also make this whole movie even more illogical?

Then again, you could consider Goku's family (Vegeta's side included since they're related) an anomaly in the Saiyan race too, so I guess it "works" in the end.
