The second character I opened it on, I dropped 4 Jr. Boogie familiar card. I had 8 more of them in inventory. It opened.
As I said, this reminds me of the Error 38 bug, where people would crash on entering cash shop. The best we could figure out was it had to do with the total "weight" of stuff in all your inventories as well as some skills and things. There was no clear rule as to how much space you need to make, or which items cause the bug, it was just in general characters with lots of stuff who had it, and throwing some away sometimes helped.
Of course it's a type of data corruption bug, and Nexon eventually fixed it, but it took a long long time.
I wonder what they'll do with these stupid boxes. Normally I wouldn't care about these chair and title bags, but if one doesn't open the box today, one can't get the extra reward Sunday. So this is a double whammy to all those affected.
