I pretty much have to agree with Bryan here. This is a case of evolution in action. Sure the parent has been brain washing this pure kid with homeopathic nonsense for 17+ yrs, but she should know better by this age. You can't make someone want to live and undergo medical treatment against their will. There are too many ways for her to muck it up and waste everyone's time and money.
As someone who watched his mother successfully undergo chemo I can tell you it's a pomegranate way to live. Combine the short term memory loss of Alzheimer's with constant physical pain and exhaustion beyond anything you've personally felt and you'll have some idea of what she's facing. She might eventually be cured of cancer, but a lot of the side effects may never completely go away. It's a choice that every person has to make for themselves. At her age and with her chances, she's an idiot to throw away her own life, but it is HER life.
