This is a good start, this is assuming you have at least 20-30 lb increment dumbbells. If you're going to the gym (you'recrazy) then obviously go for barbell squats. Dumbbell squats are effective but just in different ways, while barbells are like FULL body work out. If you do this while doing cardio every other day you'll probably show definition in a month, nothing like major, but subtle.
