The new Multishot set will need to get some buffs. Even if you had 100 Discipline it'd be about as strong as what they intend optimal nerfed M6 to be. I think the max Discipline you can get right now without Nat's is 75? Maybe 95 if you can have it roll on Rings still? Since it generates Discipline, they want you to be using Discipline skills. You'll likely not be at full Discipline a lot of the time and not at optimal damage.
There definitely still needs to be work on Multishot's runes to begin with.
Fire at Will is worthless. There's no piece of gear right now that makes Lightning better than Arsenal + Cindercoat.
Burst Fire is worthless. You need to hit 9 monsters in melee range to match Arsenal + Ballistics.
Suppression Fire is pretty bad. It only knocks back two monsters, and I don't believe it can work on elites.
Full Broadside is worthless. You need to hit 18 monsters total to match Arsenal + Ballistics.
