Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced

Was waiting for someone to mention this.
I really like the idea of it now that i've had time to think about it.

It's funny that I never noticed that X and Y was so... different. You'd think the Pokemon War would have been mentioned in the past games, and I remember a lot of people were saying "how is it possible that Mega Evolutions have only just been discovered?" but in this alternate universe they have always existed.

Funnily enough, this makes Pokemon Origins canon.

It could even end up being more universes, fitting every single pokemon game into a very big canon. Now to fit every game into a "timeline", we are going to need a Pokemon Historia.

And with the implications you mentioned, a Kanto remake that has Red fighting Red could possibly happen. Way to go Game Freak.
