It's never been reliable for crashes, but usually it did say when they had a maintenance. Especially a scheduled one.
Right now the Play button is active, their status checker sometimes says certain channels are "down" (first time I've seen their red color, lol), the minor update notice has disappeared...
No idea what all is going on.
I think the login server addresses haven't been changed. I'm basing that on the fact that our status checker showed them as unreachable during yesterday's maintenance, and then reachable after it ended. I don't know for sure, though.
