So.... basically you rage quit for one stupid reason or another and you're feeling bad about it, questioning your childish actions with indignant regret, so now you're running around making "Amirite?" posts desperately looking for a reciprocating circle jerk over your imagined lost nostalgia to try and feel better about yourself because you're a shallow, superficial, unimportant, pathetic excuse for a human being. ^__^

Personally I wish "quitters" would just stay away and not ever come back. Usually the only reason they "come back" is so that they can start looking for NEW REASONS to (rage) "quit" all over again.
Srsly... go find something else to do with your time. Preferably something that doesn't give you the excuse/opportunity to constantly bellyache.

Oh, also, you sound like a total n00b who doesn't even understand what game you're playing.
First off, yeah, it's cake to level up to 100. It's not even that hard to level up to 200. However past level 200 the game is next to IMPOSSIBLE to level. Just getting from 200 to 210 can take MONTHS of effort for the idle player. What you're describing that ~used~ to happen with lame-o baby party quests is what people ~now~ do in the drill halls at level 200+. Most of those people you saw were probably not using their mains, they were probably leveling up MULES for link skills.
And honestly, if you want nothing but chat, go become a Henehoe and hang out there, or hang out in Root Abyss or Ardentmill all day long, you'll find no shortage of people to talk to. Or use the chat feature in the game to talk to people (press the 'C' button n00b).
PS - The Free Market is busiest on Fridays and weekends and during holidays. If you pop in on an idle Tuesday at 3 in the morning... no, no there won't be too many people around.
