Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

I guess I've just played more skillfully since I picked up my JP copy? That's the only way I could explain it. I mean, I have been studying the game pretty hard lately.

How does it work, though? Does it pick up and learn from inputs, or does the intensity just rise the higher your win:loss ratio is?

The CPU does work by reading your button inputs. Depending on what your playstyle is like (defensive/offensive) may also be a factor. I'm guessing that you honed your skills since the JP release and just have gotten better when playing the NA version. After all, starting on a blank canvas makes it much easier for the CPUs to adjust to your skill level rather than having it learn from "changing bad habits to good habits" or something like that.

For me, I've pretty much been playing at the same frequency since when I got the game. My Brawl experience transferred over quite easily so I was able to always play very aggressively.
