Worst part about it is that, at least to me, the game definitely falls into the mobile-game addictive model, i.e. instead of feeling "Oh hey this is a pretty cool game which I'd love to support through occasional purchases", it's more like "Ugh. I reeeeally need to buy gems now, before X event is over. I NEED THOSE GEMS NAO. *reaches for wallet*"
(And before anybody gives me the spiel about how the game is still free and that Gumi is so nice to hand out free gems and I'm overreacting and expecting everything on a silver platter, lemme stop you there. I'm just saying that such obvious gambling hooks make me less inclined to financially support games with this business model, that's all.)
