Attended an award ceremony today for this scholarship I randomly got. An important Physics person at UTSA was sitting at my table but I couldn't introduce myself, partly cause of timing and partly cause of intimidation. 
I got a cool medal and everyone clapped for me, felt really nice! It kinda hit me in the heart when in the ceremony they asked all the family to stand for applause for being so supportive and the back bone of all the scholarship recipients (all my family is spread across the states and really doesn't have much to do with me). Not that I don't think my family supports and encourages me, but I definitely feel alone in this journey. Oh well, more power to me.
Still waiting on UT to make a damn decision on my application for Spring.
