#Gamergate

Came into this thread about to post the same thoughts as Corn but then i see this and realize i think this is still about Zoe Quinn a month later and now im just confused.

This has not been about zoey quinn, anita sarkeeson or any specific female "blogger" since 3 days after the event, so like August 28th/29th. And by "Not about" I literally mean they are referred to as the "who you do not name". They are drama queens, beggers, and frankly despicable people based on their manipulative ideology. Zoe quinn made up a harassment episode to produce her game, anita sarkeeson is on record for lying and has not filed a police report since day one. Police actually attempted to contact her last I checked. That's all there is to these two knuckleheads.

What #gamergate has turned into is a consumer revolt. Zoe quinn was merely the rabbit hole that led to this further investigation into this speculation. When these "webs" of controversy showed that multiple developers who all had investments into the games (who they also happened to judge) for the indie game awards, have been f`ucking eachother, clearly proved that these highly prestigious awards were riddled with conflicts of interest, to the point where journalists could donate money to the game or vice versa.

After these things came to light, where our eyebrows were raised based on the conflict of interest, 20 of the most prominent game journalists decided, instead of confronting the issue, was to attack their reader base.

"Gamers are dead"
"Gamers are by default misogynist man children"
"Gamergate is a joke, they're money doesn't matter to us"
"Gamers are just ugly little nerds who need to get over women being in their games"

The list goes on, feel free to look yourself. It wasn't until then I decided to become proactive. I had the Community manager of might no 9 tell me that my money was not worth anything to her. That my support of the game is to be dismissed based on my attention to this conflict of interest. I have been insulted in a blanket statement for an elaborated loud outcry of hatred that does not exist. Gamergate does not harass people, if you find anyone with the #gamergate tag harassing anyone, you link it to me, I will personally denounce that person and tell them what they are doing is wrong, as wil any gamergate individual. My wallet, along with gamers wallets have been spit on, saying our culture is dead, that we are peons in the grand scheme of things and that we need them, not vice versa. Most of the arguments presented by anti-gg actually are either brainwashed, or to the point of denial. He seriously told me that he was aware of the facts but he didnt give a pomegranate enough to look at them. Just look on twitter, search #gamergate, tell me which side is burning the other, I'm confident to say gamergate has become a mature logical movement. There is a reason why these journalist websites are losing their advertising, rock paper shotgun has two advertisers backing them left, and that will shortly be resolved.

Gamergate is about the conflict of interest that is corrupting indie games, having a tight grip on their creativity, the very thing that makes indie games promising is being set back by a marxist ideology of asinine critics. It's honestly ridiculous and these journalists do not have a right to their jobs or to provide me a service.
