So if you're not these things that people claim you are...why do you care? You sound like you're making an awfully big deal out of not being these things that you're so afraid of being.

You're right. We shouldn't try to defend ourselves against the pathetic slurs that social justice warriors throw out at us. We should focus on what we've been focusing on - namely, the tangled web between game developers and game reviewers. Yet, somehow, that's misogyny to even note an improper relationship that could influence judging and financing a game. Even if women like me are speaking out against this breach in journalism and supposedly "impartial" judging. These improper relationships not only matter to the general gaming public, but to the people who didn't get as good a score or as good a review on their games due to the clique not knowing who they are.

And a large part of Gamer Gate is the lack of transparency and lack of dedication to honesty that a lot of game journalists have shown. By that, I mean writing hate articles aimed at "gamers," puff articles about how Zoe Quinn is put upon through no fault of her own and pressuring people who have complaints aimed at gaming journalism and Zoe Quinn to shut up or lose their status in the industry.

If they're being frozen out and ignored, how can the leaders of the venture take their money in good faith?

Actually, there may be a sexual relationship between her and Maya Kramer, which provides another set of issues with the IGF and Maya Kramer's relationship with the head of the IGF.
