To be fair, we didn't really push him to say certain things*, it was mainly censoring stuff that would have given other mafiosos unnecessary attention and potential claims. He quoted niernen from the digital mafia game in response to one of my posts during the first days of Pokemafia, for example, which quite literally threw a spotlight on my head. I believe that getting better shouldn't be at the expense of other player's enjoyment with the game. Luv's got a characteristic of being chaotic in games, which can be useful to all sides depending on what alignment he is.
edit: actually, I can see what you meant by your point here (multi-edits GOGO) For the most part we didn't force his hand. We did (somewhat) thoroughly discuss each post (mainly me going "is this an ok defense"), and checked claims to try and poke holes in them. A lot of my edits were clarity/censorship, after all.
There should probably be a rule about it, since I was iffy with it on pokemafia, but I guess I justified it by there being no additional information that can be gleaned than what the other mafiosos would have had anyway (which still isn't perfect, but still). Post-death discussion definitely should not have occurred this game as there was a dead forum discussing stuff that definitely had the potential to alter the game. I mentioned it on the first page in the ghost chat but it's definitely an honour system so we can't guarantee much. :p
