Well this is interesting. I was actually becoming a tad suspicious of MasPan last night, but wanted to work through the evidence before mentioning anything. There's probably a bit of confirmation bias to my opinion, but I definitely think there's more to MasPan than he's revealing.
I still find it very strange that someone so well versed in the ASOIAF lore would seriously consider John Snow to be the god father. We know at this point from the arrival of Stannis and Davos which MasPan himself identified that John Snow is already in charge of the Night's Watch defense and no longer with the wildlings. Depending on the exact timing, he may or may not be Lord Commander already.
This is a pretty minor point and not necessarily indicative to anything. I'll just point out that the "Old Gods" can refer to either the heartwood tree pagan gods or to the White Walkers themselves.
Again, I consider this kind of reasoning to be flawed and a possible attempt to manipulate the town.
As for his most recent claim, the scarecrow sentinels are certainly legitimate, but there was no one chained up there with them for disobedience. At least not that I recall from reading the books years ago. I'll also note that while his ability explains the lack of a kill last night, it also conveniently ingratiates himself to the town. A mafia member or white walker (they're already dead by some interpretations) probably have nothing to fear from the nightly murders making it a very safe claim.
Shidoshi continues to strike me as suspicious because of yesterday's events. While the fake outs and reverse psychology plays are always possible, the mafia (apparently) neglected to target the town's claimed healer and presumably allow him a chance to save someone tonight.
[MENTION=2796]y0y0y0y0shi0[/MENTION]; It's interesting and probably indicative of something that the "three eyed raven" tormented you. It definitely points to Bloodraven's presence as a role blocker which is particularly interesting since Holypie is using his image as an avatar.
