I did some tests with Demon Hunter. It only applies once, but it does work with Companion and Sentries. Basically, it's a flat +400%/s + 10%/s/level. You'd have to be melee to get Blood Frenzy, but I can see that being a way to hit the highest breakpoint in high density for novelty. Definitely not practical, especially since you need such specific breakpoints to get anything useful out of APS for Marauder's.
I did some further testing and I'm not seeing it stack with Witch Doctor, and only Crusader's Bowmen activates it apparently. The IAS buff would work well with WDs since their pets scale directly with APS though.
In other news, I brought a freshly dropped Bombardier's Rucksack to 2m/roll without seeing Sentry Damage once (that was like 40 souls?), and now I have another spare one that I just spent 10 Souls on so far. We'll see how this goes, but MY SOULS. I barely managed to hit 1.75 APS by switching to a spare Buriza I had in stash that spawned with +6% instead of +5% (lower base damage by 100DPS), using one of these newer Rucksacks that have +19% ASI instead of +15%, but I lose 15% Sentry damage, which is probably not worthwhile. Using my Unity with my Enchantress, I'm there. Without her, I'd have to drop back to 1.46 and switch to a different weapon.
I also spent 30m just now making Imperial Topazes to reroll my Unity to have a socket. Thank god I'm not poor, but I've once again dropped below 3b =[
