EDIT:: and even if I'm not on the ship, which is likely, it's all up to my chain of command to authorize me to take the classes, which is simply stupid. I'm gonna argue that since this isn't my first tour i should have the whole "you need to be here a year before you can take classes" thing waved. (which no joke is a thing. you need to be with your command for one full year before you can even consider them thinking about saying yes to taking college classes.
