"Your amazing abilities allow you to copy the power of others. Once per night, you may [Copy] Player to copy the players appearance and moves. Any night after that, you may [Transform] Player to use their appearance and moves. "


Notice how it says you use [Copy] to copy their appearance and moves? And then you use their appearance and moves? Hyper is saying on N2 that he watched Simple all night long trying to copy what Words looked like and at the end he looked very similar. If it was just as simple as Simple transforming and using Words' move on N2 don't you think Hyper would've seened Simple watching Kyra?

Hyper saw Simple become Words. His exact words are "I watched Simple transform into Words". On Night 1, Simple used Copy to record Words' appearance and ability. On Night 2, he transformed into Words to use Words' ability. My reading is that he can Copy to record but Transform to use if that makes sense.

Additionally, Watchers are usually location dependent NOT player dependent. Hyper would be able to see Simple transform but not see what he did by leaving the house. If it's even required for Arcanine to change locations to smell someone. This is consistent with the Pokemon move "camouflage" which transforms the user to match the battle ground (location).

While it's hard to tell without seeing the exact PMs, those events look consistent to me.
