So it turns out that Sakurai did have a plan for a toon zelda and tetra, but ended up scrapping it. There's 3 more videos on the same topic of random Super Smash Bros. knowledge, like how Lucas was supposed to be in melee instead of Ness, or that Sakurai had the idea for the Smash Ball since the N64 release. I thought these videos were interesting considering that I had no prior knowledge of the content shown.
