Be it masochistic or not, they are still deriving pleasure from something. There are many things in life I complain about but still love doing. Concert ticket prices are ridiculous, the price of the beers at the venues absurd, the price to park to go to the venue worse, and etc., but I love my music and while yes i complain about all the other stuff I still go. I am the same way about Maplestory. Yes many things make me upset about it, but I still end up deriving more pleasure than displeasure. That is the nice thing, we are all free to choose what we like to do. I just do not see the need to try to change others minds about what they like to do. Just go with the flow
