Yeah, like lozmaster said, those hats/masks are like the ones you get from Save Mii. I have all kinds of memorable nintendo characters masks for my mii on 3ds and maybe they will carry over to the game.
Honestly though, for me, I would be happy with the roster as it sits. I mean aside from returning characters and the incredibly random additions (pacman) , who else could be joining the fray? It would seem like Sakurai could literally put any character that has any ties to Nintendo, like Rayman. Heck, I was playing Windwaker the other day and realized Tetra could be a nice addition, to commemorate the HD re-release. Anyways, for me any new additions would just be the fruit topping to an already iced cake.
