How many people are REALLY still playing Maplestory?

Erm, What content is Nexon "rushing" currently? What story related and high leveled areas?

I wouldn't exactly saying "rushing" but they did say that high leveled areas weren't a high priority at the moment, and they would like to focus on improving the story telling ways for presentation in Maplestory. Specifically with the new quest system that was added in with Zero and used in Friend Story.
