So, you're majoring in somewhat sciency? Chemistry? Sorry, can't think of any better words to describe this haha.
I'm panicking because it's less than a month for me now to leave my home and be entirely independent in the States. I'm studying there (transferring my credits here from Malaysia) for 2 1/2 years. And my mom doesn't make my panic any better. She keeps telling me stuffs that I would prefer to listen to when the time is nearer (~1-2 weeks). Finance major btw, thinking of taking a double major in Comm too.
meow, join us too while waiting, I guess. I might sleep soon though. Don't worry, I'll answer your questions here if you ask
Actually, I was leaning towards business, now engineering or something. Missed the business school's cut off by .02 GPA because it increased this semester... Good luck with finance, it is an interesting if challenging field. Coom is also interesting, you will probably meet some cool people (from the few comm classes I took). Chem is not my strongest, but I'm decent at biology and physics, I just can't see myself doing a job with them. Being completely independent should be fun if you can handle it. Just make sure you don't waste too much money or time. Good luck

God I hate traffic.

meowmixx; If you are interesting in lab work and not the analysis, look if there are any small labs around you. Most of those smaller ones can use the help. First one I worked in only had 8-9 people in the whole company (branch) and 3 in the lab. The one I am working in now has ~3-5 people in the lab, but around 30 people in the whole company. The smaller ones can always use the help. The pay not be great (if you even get paid at all), but its something to do.
I guess it's pretty strange that the only places I have worked have been NASA and chemical companies when I was never really considering science.... Wish I was better with computers but its probably too late for me
