Death itself happens, and I don't feel like it will make a differnece if I fall over and die right now or if I die when I am 100. When the brain dies it is just dead. I wouldn't know if I am missing out on things or anything. I would just be gone. So why should I fear what I will not even have any negative consequences of my own from. It is just neutral because it neither affects me positivly or negativly.
What he said. Of course, I'd want to experience life and do things; I would be dissappointed if I died right now. But as I get older and retire (if I ever get a job anyway) and get bored all the time, death would be okay. It would be nothingness, you don't have anything to "see black" with or anything, you're dead. You're just gone.
The only thing I have to fear in death is the pain that might accompany it if I die in a fire or something.
