The attention to detail that was put into Robin honestly brought my hype meter to maximum!
If Sakurai really didn't want Chrom for his generic swordplay, I don't get why he didn't reconsider Lyn as a playable character. I feel that even though she's a sword user she can still have a unique gameplay style, i.e. her bow, her traditional samurai "draw the blade only when needed" style, that insane speed, the sol katti! I mean sure she may not be hip and current in terms of marketing, but how can you not recognize her (or Hector for that matter) as a good candidate for an FE representative? I mean even Eliwood is more unique in swordplay in comparison to Roy and Marth, especially if they gave him Durandal... I don't know I guess I just really liked the FE7 cast, and a bit bummed that as far as we know, and as much as Sakurai has told us about Lucina, that shes just Marth with no sweetspot and no lance and an updated Falchion. Don't get me wrong shes a great addition and her changes make it easier for someone like me who doesn't use Marth, to get acclimated to the style.
Bottomline, I cant wait until the Wii U release; It's gotten to the point that I may even pick up a copy for my 3ds. Sakurai is really putting a lot of thought into every choice he has made for this game, and I hope he continues to do so.
