Mario Kart 8 Southperry Community

They're... the same game essentially outside of the layout of the controls being different o_o; How can one be "bad" per se over the other?

I said I heard it was bad but this is coming from watching the people from GameTrailers talking about it during E3 so it's not like it's the final version or anything. Nevertheless, I feel more tempted getting a wii-U with those three games over a 3DS version of smash. To add to that, I'm more of a 4-player free-for-all person than a competitive fighting 1-1 style (more of a SF player than a smash player) so a concern of mine would also be the screen but we'll see when it comes out in early October.
