Eveyone was pretty much claiming meta was pulling the same crap last game, I supported the decision because it has such obvious repercussions either way, especially since the role was never actually revealed, just that she couldn't do anything to said apple. If he had a supporting role such as a cop, she wouldn't have mentioned it and put him on the lynch list for the mafia side.
The point of my entire suggestion, which everyone was pretty much on board for until the last minute, was to spread our search. The purpose of this is because sanity isn't easily verified especially by simply researching the same guy. Neither party did this smart, they didn't withhold information or mislead the other claimed cop to verify if they both got the same information. They revealed "he good apple" followed by "I agree". That provides us nothing, so right now we are sitting pretty with one less person to perpetrate, which is one that POSTS ALL OF THE TIME.
We should have researched the two lurkers, since we HAVE no information to go on regarding them, and even if ONE leads us to a good apple, they are worthless to the town anyway because they don't post AND we get rid of the insane cop. It's infuriating we lost an opportunity like this because we didn't discuss this as a group, we jumped on impulses at last minute and that was a terrible, TERRIBLE idea.
That and I'm even more annoyed, that the moment I bring up such selfishness, I get accused for leading the town in the wrong direction? WHAT DIRECTION IS THIS. There IS NO direction, encouraging a method to get the most information as possible (IE, Figure out who the lurkers are, then if they are innocent we can focus on subtext), rather than, no subtext, no leads, and a single person that has been "verified". Well actually two since one also died, and we were pretty clear meta was on our side.
Being accused and attempting too deflect is juvenile, it's scummy, and just a waste of peoples time. When you think your life is greater than the entire town's, you're no better than the mafia.
Also Polantaris; I was goating niernen, he suggested immediately that cannibalism was an option and I tried to get more fill on that but the conversation dropped off because he went inactive.
