Considering Niernen actually has made 3 references too cannibalism earlier in the game, I think it's pretty obvious who did the eating.

I didn't realize I had made so many, but they were a joke. And to be fair, you did say you prefered fresh apple cider. Also, I don't think apples can eat other apples... didn't someone mention a crow earlier?

If Verrkol was eaten by something and Meta was killed by the mafia, it is possible there is a power or person that can eat other apples and is not part of the mafia?
